According to Gera’s Report prices in Pune rose by around 11% year-on-year in 2022, to Rs 5,461/sqft on an average across the city, which is more than the pre-pandemic peak of Rs 5,096/sqft achieved in 2015.
The prices then continued to decline till 2020 due to pressures of sluggish sales, demonetisation, goods and services tax (GST), and other factors, till the state government implemented stamp duty cuts in September 2020 to revive the real estate market.
